Sep. 7th, 2006 10:30 pmThe teaching thing... One week in I've encountered my first bad experience of the school year. There will be many more to follow, that's garanteed.
Note to self: Be strict, although it isn't in your nature.
Second note to self: Don't fret about it, when that doesn't work.

If it's anything like my school year, you'll be fine. I had my first really bad experience on my fourth day of teaching and after that everything became a lot better. I don't know why, but for some reason I became much more relaxed.

Date: 2006-09-09 12:40 pm (UTC)Oh, of course, the time-honoured tradition of pestering the substitute teacher - I can remember that we used to do it and when you're on the receiving end it's always a major pain in the ass. Thankfully, I don't have to do much subbing this year because my workload is big enough as it is, thank you very much. Actually, I'm not supposed to do any subbing at all, so now when there's a shortage of other teachers available I always get asked very nicely if I could possibly help out and if I complain that I don't like the group I'm assigned as was the case yesterday I get a different class which is much less trouble.
