franceslievensBack and forth they go, tens of e-mails, between frenchani and me, and every time it feels like you forget something, you want to add something, discover things won't work the way you want them to. Setting up a salon with one of you in Paris and the other in Brussels isn't easy. Writing to each other in English when one of you talks French and the other Dutch, is silly when you try to figure out each others ideas, and wants, and needs. The want is a discussion. The need is for a place to do so, a haven, a room of requirement. The ideas are so much, so grand, but we're humble in trying to get them out there, into the community.
Although we've kept things quiet and low-key, visitors are creeping in already, like the first couple of spectators of a Morrissey concert, standing on the front row hours in advance. Unfortunately we aren't Morrissey or Duran Duran or Spice Girls. The visitors will have to take part for this to succeed. In order to discuss, you need someone to discuss with.
I don't know yet what you'll be getting. I'm not willing to say the entertainment will be breath-taking. We will try and entertain you, but always remember that entertainment can come with claws and hooks that'll make you think.
