Aunt Frances doesn't recognise MK
May. 11th, 2006 09:10 pmMK's my little niece and goddaughter I go and pick up from daycare once a week. If she stands behind me she can bump her forehead into my buttcheeks, which makes me smile. When I have to laugh at the sillyness of this 20 month old know-it-all and want-it-all, I make her laugh. It's the goal of the young: make the big folk laugh.
Today was sunny and warm, so MK got to play outside with her friends. I wave when I enter and the lady asks her if she wants to go home with aunt Frances.
"Frances!" I hear her reply.
"Hey," I say, "I've never heard her say that before."
"Well, it wasn't her," the lady says, "It's the other todler, the one that talks a lot."
Talks-A-Lot wanted to come too, until she realised that Frances wasn't the one that was supposed to pick her up.
