'Cept that particular 'toon strip was long before Snoopy got his friend, Woodstock (http://www.snoopy.com/comics/peanuts/meet_the_gang/meet_woodstock.html). Though they were best of friends Snoopy has played practical jokes on Woodstock and Woodstock has attempted retaliation.

Well, you can see this is also before Snoopy and Charlie Brown got their final well-known look. Charlie is a bit chubbier and Snoopy looks taller even.
