Musical clarity
Feb. 13th, 2006 11:07 pmOne thing I learned living on my own this last month is that my head is sometimes filled with overcooked macaroni. I forget, I stumble, I break things, and generally am at a loss for what I now actually planned to do in the first place. So I end up nervous as hell, because I think I forget, or think I must have forgotten something, or forget if I double checked if the radiators were all out and the coffee-maker turned off and the refrigerator closed.
And then there's singing. Like a knife it slides a path through all the clutter. The song leads the way and relaxes what was tensed, because you can't sing and think about the stove that you might have forgotten to turn off at the same time. Focus on the music, on the voice, on the muscles chases stress and dark thoughts away and makes me happy.
