Sucked into a story and chilly.
Feb. 7th, 2006 04:39 pmI have finally been able to put my hands on it: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Have been reading in it for a couple of hours already and by this point it has, like its five predecessors, turned into one of those enchanted books: can't put it down until it's finfished. When I did put it down, because stupid housechores like doing the dishes waited for my attention, I noticed the radiator in the living room died on me. I'd been sitting in a chill ever since I came in. No wonder I was grasping my coffee mug so tightly. I can't seem to find the problem with the radiator. The ones in the back of the appartment work. The ones in the front don't. Bugger that.
eta: The problem with the radiator has been cleared, but not solved. Seems the tap that regulates the circuit on this floor is standing in the neighbouring appartment. The idiots that at the moment are working in that appartment have closed that tap, not knowing they also deprive their neighbours of heat. And of course there's no-one in at the moment, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get them to reopen the tap.
