You know, the last pieces of music from Mozart's Don Giovanni are freakishly scary. I think I annoyed the neighbours tremendously by listening to it over and over.

I have moments of listening to music over and over again. David Bowie's Life of Mars for example. Mozart's Requiem is incredibly terrifying. I was traumatised as a child when I saw Amadeus at the age of 11 at a school outing.

It's what makes Mozart so good. He can write these little fun and sing-along tunes and then suddenly he gives it all and it's plain scary.

I don't know how old I was when I saw Amadeus, but probably older than 11. :-) Doesn't it start with Salieri trying to kill himself and a lot of blood etc.? And Wolfgang is depicted as a very strange and unstable character. I'd be scared of him! When I was 11 we learned about Mozart the wonderboy.

The kids at the school I teach at went to see Narnia as a school outing. Much more suitable for their age. ;-)
