Guests will be arriving in ten minutes. Our lamb is quietly simmering in his pot. I've lighted the candles, showered, done the make-up thing in order to hide that pimple right between my eyes (that didn't work). We'll do joy and peace on earth with presents today.

Have a good Christmas/Yule/Whatever everyone. Love each other. Live a little more through smiling and less through consumption. Sing those Christmas carols, in or out of tune. I'll see you tonight with the first instalment of this year's Christmas story.

Hope you had a terrific day Frances. It sounds like it was lovely. My family and I had a nice lowkey day, the pixikins liked their gifts, Kiersten and I had a Gilmore Girls season 1 marathon (I have a new addiction) and overall just a nice lovely day.
