Life isn't nice for the little people

My dad has lost his job in the most degrading way.
My brother-in-law has lost the drummer of his band. Having that band means everything for him.
My friend sent me a text that horrible things had been happening lately and that he had to sort these out.

Berlin was great. I almost feel guilty about it.

And if anyone knows about drummers in the Brussels area, please let me know.

I have this irrational phobia of losing jobs. I always feel really bad when it happens to people and I'm very sorry it happened to your dad. *hugs*

I'm okayish now. Called my mum. She was feeling bad, but said she'd muddle through. I'm hoping for the best and that they can find a solution.

I'm a bit worried about my friend, though. He said he just needed to put things in perspective, so I'll call him in a couple of days to hear how things are going.

This sucks. I know what it's like to be so very worried about a friend, and not being able to do anything about it.

And losing a job is hard. Always, and its hard on everyone around you too. I'm sorry.
