Can I pick her out of the crowd gathered in the exit hall? She's the girl leaning against the metal post, book in one hand, eyes to the ground. Do I walk up to her or do I wait for her to see me? What do I say? "Are you R.?" sounds stupid. I know she is. I gather my courage, walk up to her and smile. "Hey," I say and give her a kiss. She talks and babbles all the way to her place. I smile and feel good. I'm in Berlin and there's a floor waiting for me to sleep on.
