The nervous teacher

Tomorrow evening I'll sing a concert that's bit more high profile than my usual fair. Every year the music academy where I study has a concert where they showcase their best students. This year I'll sing a song: on Monday I heard I'll be taking the place of another singer who fell ill. Today my teacher sent me a text that said "Hi Frances. Sing today, but spare your voice tomorrow, because there'll be a rehearsal. You can study your lines without voice. Humming is fine." I am positive my teacher is more nervous than I am. Falling in at the last possible moment? I can't be nervous.

Very interesting read in The Guardian on introverts and extroverts. Read till the end to understand why being shy isn't the same as being introvert. It made me realise that indeed I'm not as shy as I used to be, but still introvert.
