Functioning on no sleep...

Or very little, so I haven't done much functioning today, apart from reading LotR, various blogs and the newspaper. My back is killing me, but the culprit doesn't want to budge and has placed herself firmly on my hip or a nerve attached to it. Walking and standing for longer periods is painful.
Today's monitoring session had the added weirdness of a moving baby and no heartbeat. Wriggly Bum waved at the midwife with all four limbs, but no heartbeat could be found. At least I got confirmation of what I suspected: her back is turned against my back. I guess that's also the cause of my current pains, and give the little one a perfect position to hit that one nerve that makes my leg ache from the hip to the toes and Mama bend in two.
Just two more weeks of waiting for the little miss. I hope she does decide to come earlier. Hardly any sleep and back pains make for one cranky Mama, and her big sister doesn't like that.
