At home on the iPod

I've been at home since last week, starting my maternity leave on Thursday after a very long weekend of five days. Still I wasn't able to produce much in the way of written words on LJ. The thing is, that I hardly sit behind my iMac during the day – it reminds me of the fact that my desk is in a desperate need of cleaning and that I need to archive my school things before the baby is due. Mostly I check all things internet on my iPod touch. Now is the LJ-app a horrendous thing to work with. It's slow, doesn't have all the features of the site, and is unable to load messages. Every time a new and improved version of the app is announced, the PTB at LJ talk about all the new features they've put in there, but can't be bothered to make the old ones work properly. I'm really annoyed with this issue. Are there any unofficial apps out there that work better?
