Kids these days...
Feb. 10th, 2011 04:29 pmThey are a family of four: three young ones shepherded to school by their teenage sister. Her lethargy borders on sleep as she stares into space for the short journey on the metro. Two little boys are much more active, laughing and yelling through the carriage. She doesn't notice – doesn't want to or isn't paying attention – when one of them dashes to the open carriage doors and throws his empty drink carton onto the platform. They have a laugh. I can't help to wonder what'll become of those kids when they grow up, and also: "Had they been pupils at my school..."
