You could feel the tension in the room when the assembled family cheered Hellebaut on. When she managed to jump 2.05m at her first try, a sigh of relief was heard: she was in for silver. Which quickly turned into gold when she let Blanka Vladic attempt 2.07m for the third time without trying herself. Vladic failed, making Hellebaut winner. The joy of the commenters couldn't be bigger. For days they've been saying "almost", and right at the end of the games they can go full out on the "Yes, we did it!"
