I notice other people finishing my sentences for me the last week – like they do with a foreigner who doesn't know the right words in the language he's speaking. I'm speaking my mother tongue when it happens. I'm at a loss for the easiest words – agency, office, radiator... I simply mumble and stutter while my mind goes blank, like it did when I was muddling through oral exams so many years ago. Even the lengthy phone conversations with A. that were once the paragon of the correct words, have become a mess with pauses and stumbling. I can only argue that the nothingness of holidaying has eaten my vocabulary. Or I'm still coming down from the stressful rush of the last weeks of school.

Because we will move to our new apartment in the week of the 29th of October, P. won't go to Oxford around then and I'll be able to go to the Amy Winehouse concert.
