Dez Mona

One of the revelations of 2006: Antony and the Johnsons. Or was it 2005 already? The leap to falsetto Gregori Frateur, whom I came to know and love at my first Daan-concert, isn't that huge. Together with Nicolas Rombouts he's the centre of Dez Mona. The beautiful site (one of the best for a band I've encountered in ages) lets you listen to the songs on their latest album Moments of Dejection or Despondency and takes you into the dark and tragic realm of Desdemona and Othello – the inspiration for the band's name.
