Written in permanent marker on the outside wall of one of Brussels' numerous cafés, it's a message to someone who left the place hours ago: "We were 2 late." Hastily scribbled on the pale green wall it reveals a story of drunkenness, pub crawling and mobile phones with dead batteries. They entered the establishment through the front door, noisily, swaying slightly on high heels and clutching handbags. They were laughing, looking for their friends, but they couldn't find them. Through the backdoor they leave the place, wanting to go somewhere with music and dancing. Can't phone. Can't find a piece of paper. Only the permanent marker on the bottom of one of the girls' bag. So they scribble a message and run off, to other adventures. Someone will see the message and understand, driving by in the first bus of the day, fighting sleep on that strange moment of an all nighter when you aren't quite drunk anymore, and not yet hungover.

See that last cartoon here. (Link in Dutch, but pictures don't need words.)
