The Main Stream
Sep. 13th, 2005 11:46 amIt is a sign of how in less than a year blogging and podcasting have become mainstream: in two days time my newspaper mentioned both and provided urls for the interested readers. Whenever something major happens blogs have become an important source of inside information – not only for us, newspaper readers looking for the other side of the story, but also for the newspapers themselves. Last week they had a two page story that revolved around this observation: the best accounts of what was happening at that point in New Orleans came from bloggers.
interdictor got a mention and the blog was actually called a livejournal without mentioning why. It goes to show that the internet and all the information we share here has become a giant part of current society, but also that you're missing out on very important things when you can't afford all this new technology.
