We've found an appartment, big enough for the both of us, the extra computer I'm willing to buy and the archive of books, magazines and copied articles we're compiling. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, I still don't know if I will have a job when come September. On the other hand it's the best one we've seen: two rooms, everything in order, a rent that's manageable. Rents in Brussels are running wild. We've seen appartments for the same monthly rent, that were half the size of the one we decided on. There is so much diversity between appartments. We've seen so many and on the other hand, I fear, so little. Was this a good deal? I hope so. We didn't have all the time in the world to decide. Whenever you find an interesting appartment you'll have to move fast, or it's gone. Afterwards I doubt a little. Was it the best choice to make? Was it possible (might it be possible) to find an appartment that gave an even better deal? That's the thing with living, I guess: Every decision you make, is based on partial data. You simply have to make sure you're happy with it. And that I am.
