I went to Gent this afternoon to visit the exhibition where a friend of mine was showing her paintings. Actually it was the end of the school year exhibition of St.-Lucas college for visual arts, but an exhibition is an exhibition. It was like most of those school exhibitions. Some okay things, some things I really didn't understand and some very good stuff. Especially the multimedia and publication departements had some work that was very interesting.

When I decided to go to Gent today, I totally forgot it was the city parade as well. So I ended up with teens in tight shirts on the train (lots of teens in tight shirts, and probably they were all in their twenties already) that were trying to get drunk before they arrived. They decided to start the partying there and then in the train and started yelling and cheering in the station. *sigh* What a total bore I am for not being able to cope with people having fun. ;-)
I've seen some clips of the city parade on the news tonight. There weren't many people dancing. Most of them were just standing around drinking. (And they all declared they were there for the great atmosphere.)

On the train back home I started reading in Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone. I finaly caved in and got it in the library. Loads of people must have read it before me, because the book is practically falling apart. I must say I'm hooked at the little guy. I still have some other things to do, but I'm too caught up in the book to put it away.
