One convinced reader.
Jun. 7th, 2004 05:30 pmP. came back from his conference in Italy yesterday. That is one male servant extra for me. Yay!! And he immediately got a task: read through the first draft of The Water Pt. 2. He seems to be able to actually read my LJ without knowing what's in there. The conversation before I demanded he read the text on paper went something like this:
Frances: So did you read the teaser for my story?
P.: Yes, what?
Frances: The story. I posted a teaser.
P.: When?
Frances: Just the other day. It was in a cut.
P.: I read that cut. What was in there?
Frances: The story.
P.: Huh?
Frances (points with the mouse): Look there.
P.: Oh, I didn't click on that one. What did I click on then?
Frances: I guess you just read the comments here.
P.: Oh, that's right I did read those.
Frances: Now are you gonna read the teaser?
P.: Huh?
Frances: The teaser, are you gonna read it.
P.: Yeah sure.
Frances waits impatiently till P. has finished reading
P. says nothing
Frances: So, what d'ya think?
P.: 's okay.
After that I simply produced the printout of the thing and demanded he would give some more feedback than the occasional "Oh, 's okay". After reading the entire thing he ended up saying: "And what comes next?" I prodded and got some interesting remarks nonetheless. Yay!! That was what I'm after, boy.
And if you still can't guess what it's all about: go read it in a couple of posts back. Feedback and/or comments are greatly appreciated. :-)
The end of this thing won't be for very soon. It seems I have exams the next three weeks. Maybe I should work on them or something like that.
