Oh fuck...
May. 28th, 2004 06:37 pmI started reading on a fic by
thebratqueen, recommended by
gingerpig. I usually don't read slash or porn or whatever. But now I bloody well did and it sucked me in and I spent the entire afternoon reading 19 chapters, when I was supposed to clean windows. And now I've read it all and I realise I want more, cos the story isn't finished yet. Oh fuck.
thebratqueen really sucks you into her homoerotic universe, where nothing is the way we know it. Her descriptions make you look for words to express what you think of it. This thing is the complete anti-Jossverse. It has little to nothing to do with it, but the characters are still very much "in character". It's as if they are tangled up in an interesting roll play that is so large it encompasses another universe. Or you know those episodes of popular TV-series wherein everybody suddenly is something completely different, but still the same. The Wish in BtVS or that dream-episode in Fame, wherein Doris ended up in some twisted version of Oz. It's a strange, violent and sometimes disturbingly erotic dream.
So, if you aren't turned off by the fact that thebratqueen's premise is the marriage of Angel and Wes read Protocol.
